Where to play: The tournaments below are held at All About Games, 7079 W. Overland, Boise, Idaho, each Monday between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.; The Tree City Chess Club provides additional tournaments and pickup games. They can be found 5 p.m. Thursdays at ABUGames, 7211 W. Colonial St., Boise, ID 83709; with pickup games at The Chess Nuts Club, Saturdays beginning at 4 p.m., in the trailer behind Faith Evangelical Church, 11941 W Ustick Rd, Boise, ID 83713

Since beginning our Monday, United States of America Chess and World Chess Federation rated games at All About Games local players have saved an estimated $10,800 in entry fees over what they would have paid if they traveled out of state. This savings does not include transportation, hotels and food costs. Normal entry fees for FIDE rated events for Idaho players (i.e., anyone U2200) is $300. Click here to see typical out-of-state tournament expenses. Our tournaments are free to Active members of the United States of America Chess Federation. Please click on the register tab below to join our next tournament! Invite friends but be sure to bring enemies. Their rating points are especially tasty. In 2026 you will save ~$3,500 in out of state entry fees. How many games can you play? 101 total with 76 of the total games rated by both the United States of America Chess Federation and World Chess Federation! The big kids get tens of thousands of dollars playing Fischer Random . . . sadly no one rates these 25 games . . . for now. }:-( Sic ’em Vinny! Oh just look at him drool and wag his little tail. }:-)
