The 10-month Grandeur online lichess CFC rated Chess Tournament started this Jan 31st 2021 with 60+ players in the last 6 months. More than CAD 1000 prizes given. This is a monthly Grand-Pri Tournament on last Sunday of every month. This is for a social cause and partly benefits 2 Chess players challenged by circumstances. To ensure fair play, all participants are required to join a Zoom meeting for the duration of the tournament. More details will be sent after you register.

5 Sections: Open, U1800, U1600, U1200 and U1000
Total GUARANTEED prizes for June is CAD1000. 40% paid as prizes and 40% retained for Nov 2021 with 5% each for beneficiaries and 10% for Admin
The prizes are:
1st, 2nd and 3rd in the ratio of 50:35:15. The Top 6 players in June will get 50% discount in entry fee for July month. Additionally, Top5 players from July 3rd CYCC from each of the age groups get a free entry and the rest of the participants of July 3rd CYCC get a 50% discount but can’t be clubbed with other initiatives.
The retained amount for Nov prizes will be distributed from Open to U1000 in the ratio of 30:25:20:15:10
Time Control: Open/U1800 – Swiss – 6 rounds with 5 min gap in-between rounds 10 min – 5 sec increment
U1600/Lower – Swiss – 5 rounds with 5 min gap in-between rounds 15 min – 10 sec increment
Round Times: 11:05AM – 2:00PM

The early bird entries end on July 15th and the prizes go up by 5CAD from 16th to 20th and additional 5CAD from 21st to 23rd. The last date of registration is July 23rd.
Online Policy: We strictly forbid cheating. We will use Lichess algorithms and will manually analyze selected games to check for possible cheating. Please play fairly!
