The Elite Section is open to all.  The Reserve Section for U2200 and below. The Elite and Reserve sections are FIDE rated.

The $10,000 Elite Prizes are Unconditionally Guaranteed

Unrated: $150, $125, $100 Unrated players will play

in the Elite Section with an assigned rating of 2199.

If a player’s rating has dropped 100 points over six months, the older rating will be used.

The entry fee is $100 period. No play up fees, no late fees.

To register:  Click on the Buy Now button below. Once you have paid your entry fee of $100 you will be taken to the Tournament registration form to complete your registration. In the Tournament name box, enter MexInsurance FIDE Open and your preferred section – Elite or Reserve. Registration ends at 8 p.m. Mtn time, December 15, 2022. 

There is no on-site registration.  No exceptions.

Please bring a chess set, board, digital clock and a pen or pencil, none provided.
